I’ll be in Austin the weekend of Nov 11-12, so all I need to know is “Where’s 40s?” Having Casey and then Dirty move away has been a real blow, but I trust the torch has remained burning. Timequest?

Just received note from Amazon.com that Gymkata will now be available on DVD as of 30 Jan 2007. For only $14.

OK, so I found a place and move in on Thursday. I think that there is a DVD player. If not, I’ll find one for cheap. Then, I’ll have to initiate the 40(N)z krewe. Suggestions to deflower the kiwis — cinematically, of course.

A few people have asked how to include images in posts, so here’s how:

To include a pic that’s hosted somewhere else, just click the Insert Image button (looks like a tree) above the post box and paste in the URL.

To include a pic from your computer, use the Upload tab on the posting page to upload it, then on the Browse tab (which appears after you upload something), click on the image and select “Send to editor” from the pop-up menu. The pop-up menu also allows you to control stuff like whether to include a thumbnail or the original image, and whether the image should also be a link to the image or the page. You should select these options before you “Send to editor”.

So did anyone catch parts of the MTV Movie Awards last night, interlaced with the Mavs winning?

Well Samuel L. Jackson had the funniest little monologue. Upon announcing this year’s Best Movie award, he guaranteed that SNAKES ON A PLANE will win Best Movie next year. (Watch Samuel L. Jackson Clip Here.)

At Amazon this month (June), Warner Bros. & Amazon are holding a survey to see which 10 of 30 titles should get released on dvd. And one of them is Gymkata, which I hear made a most-excellent 40s.

Due to some functional problems with the previous visual theme of the blog (and the fact that I couldn’t easily figure out how to change it since it was internally in German), I have changed to a new one. Eventually we’ll customize it to look more 40’s specific. Julian?
