my list

i’ve got a little list of 40’s suggestions that i’ve been compiling (jason helped - guess which ones). here goes:

can’t stop the music - village people movie!

clownhouse - horror

slumber party massacre

my bodyguard - i don’t know why

the legend of billie jean - i don’t know why not!

how high - method man & redman!

over the edge - a story of teenage rebellion with matt dillon

desperate lives - after-school special about drugs that they showed us in high school - described as “beyond-earnest, totally out of touch plot and dialogue” (yesssss!) - helen hunt on angel dust!

and these last two are a couple of gems stephen and i found @ i luv the other day:

last goodbye - here’s the quote from the cover that i had to write down - “the story of a lonely man who wants a girl that loves a rock star who needs a woman that kills vampires.” nuff said.

modern vampires (can you tell i have a thing for vampire movies?) - from the creators of FREEWAY.

I have heard of Clownhouse. Someone told me it is a REALLY good movie.

Afterschool specials RULE for 40s. Is there the one wehre they drive off the cliff and go “Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!” cuz they were on drugs?

P.S. I have Slumber Party Massacure. Its a good 80s slasher flick. We saw part 2 at 40s and it was pure ass. The 1st is much better.

yup, desperate lives is that very after school special. i don’t want to ruin it but my very favorite part is the angel dust scene. soooo over the top.

I LOVE the Legend of Billie Jean. It was my high school anthem. I think I still have my old VHS copy of it taped off HBO. I probably watched it every single day one summer.

“When you’re seventeen, people think they can do anything to you. Billie Jean is about to prove them wrong.”

We can’t afford to be innocent
Stand up and face the enemy
It’s a do or die situation
    We will be Invincible

    -Where’s Billie Jean??
    -Everywhere!

I just purchased Clownhouse off Ebay. A friend of mine recomended it to me a long time ago. It is supposed to be really good.

1 - I saw “Can’t Stop the Music” done by Mr. Sinus Theatre. Did you know that the film was sponsored by the National Milk/Dairy Board, hence the all-white costume dance numbah at the end.

2 - If we watch the legend of Billie Jean, we’ll have to stop it every 5 minutes so I can point out the parts of Corpus Christi. The whole film is my favourite part!
